The report Index of Poland’s Economic Credibility falls within the formula of a broadly understood independent civic consultancy, which is intended to foster the facilitation and ordering of public discourse on the desired directions of economic and social policy.

The main benefit of assessing the state of the state and the economy using the interdisciplinary set of indicators used in the Index is that the diagnoses presented in the Index result from empirical research, and are therefore objectified. The Index offers a comprehensive and objectified picture of the state of the state and the economy. It thus offers an opportunity to assess to what extent the actual functioning of the economy and the public sphere deviates from the prevailing circular opinions that often influence public opinion and can influence decision-makers.

The picture that emerged from the surveys conducted for the previous and current editions leaves no doubt that Poland has followed in Hungary’s footsteps for a number of years in creating the state model that exists there. And Hungary is a notable point of reference, as it is a country where the process of dismantling democracy has already ended and a system of highly centralized, authoritarian in its essence, power has been created there.

The presentation of the IWEP Report will focus on: the rule of law, public finances and the stability of the financial system. This year’s 3rd edition of the Index includes, in addition to Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia and Hungary.
