We only have until June 2026 to bring Polish law into line with the European Parliament’s Directive requiring large listed companies to make key changes to the participation of the underrepresented gender in the management and supervisory bodies of listed companies. June 2026 is a cut-off date, but we think of it as a turning point. We already know that it is the diverse management and supervisory boards of companies that build long-term competitive advantage. Diverse teams mean better financial performance, better risk management and even greater operational capabilities. During the debate, we will jointly look at legislative solutions with a European scope. Our aim is to identify key actions that will contribute to the successful implementation of the changes required by the Directive.
Key issues:
- An overview of legislative solutions in Europe. The winding road to systemic change – how to make it happen?
- Identification of key actions that will contribute to the effective implementation of the processes required by the Directive for the selection of future directors and executive officers
- As Leaders and Ambassadors of Change, we have a real influence on building partnerships in boards and management boards. What best practices can we share to inspire and engage others in action?
- What initiatives to build public awareness of the importance of the regulations being introduced and their beneficial impact on business should we undertake?
