The Russian aggression of Ukraine has triggered a crisis and a massive influx of refugees unseen in post-war Europe. Poland is bearing the full brunt of this humanitarian crisis. The consequences of the war in Ukraine will affect virtually all realms of political, economic and community life. To address this situation, measures must be taken across many dimensions and time frames.
Integration is a social process. First and foremost, it means adapting to the host community while seeking to preserve the cultural diversity and identity of refugees. Taking root in the new community should be an integrative process to make sure that the expanded system remains harmonious and efficient.
