Jakub Jaworowski is a specialist in strategic transformation and public policy making. He has over 15 years of experience in both the public and private sectors, having worked in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
Prior to becoming Minister of State Assets, he was successively Country Director for Greece, Moldova and Ukraine at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change.
He worked directly with Heads of State and Prime Ministers, developing programmes to attract foreign investment, designing pathways to support the European Union accession process and shaping reforms to social security systems, among others.
From 2016 to 2022, he worked at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and McKinsey & Company.
At BCG, he managed projects for ministries and leading public institutions that covered areas such as macroeconomic analysis, transition strategies, and sovereign wealth fund reforms.
At McKinsey & Company, he focused primarily on economic development projects, growth diversification and industrial capacity development, including the creation of special economic zones.
From March 2012 to November 2015, he worked in the Office of the Prime Minister. Initially, he served as Advisor and later as Undersecretary and Secretary of State. He was Plenipotentiary for Regulatory Impact Assessment to Prime Ministers Donald Tusk and Ewa Kopacz.
A graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics and the University of Warsaw, he holds a master’s degree in international economic relations and history. He is also a holder of the CFA diploma.
