He started his career as the director of the foreign department at the National Bank of Poland and took part in Poland’s negotiations with the London Club and the Paris Club on debt reduction.
He has been involved in the banking sector since 1995. Between 2002 and 2011, he served as President of the Management Board of Nordea Bank Polska. During that time he also sat on the governing bodies of the Polish Bank Association. In 2012, he took the position of Vice President of the Management Board for Finance at KGHM Polska Miedź. In 2013, he was awarded the badge of honour ‘For Merits to Public Finance of the Republic of Poland’. Prior to taking up his position on the Board of the Association, he was a superintendent at Bank BPS SA and a member of the Banking Ethics Committee of the ZBP.
