bio

Arkadiusz Tarnowski studied Business Management and Finance at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies and completed both a Master’s and PhD in International Political Economy at the University of Tsukuba in Japan. His areas of expertise include investment trends, Asian business culture, corporate internationalization, and contemporary political and economic relations between Japan and Europe, as well as between the Republic of Korea and Europe.

He is actively involved in fostering collaboration between local governments and the private sector, attracting foreign direct investment, and promoting the global expansion of Polish companies.

A frequent speaker and participant at both domestic and international conferences, seminars, and workshops on investment, promotion, and foreign expansion of businesses, he has also served as a Private Sector Liaison Officer for the World Bank Group, assisting Polish entrepreneurs with international public procurement procedures.

As a trainer and academic lecturer, he teaches topics related to the politics, economy, history, and business environment of Japan and the Republic of Korea, as well as economic promotion and international business expansion.

He served as the Head of the Foreign Trade Office of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency in Seoul (2018–2020), and later as the Manager of the Foreign Trade Office in Taipei (2021).
