Since July 2023, Klaus Mühleder leads VIG’s OpportunityManagementwhich combines responsibility for Group Strategy, Sustainability, BancAssuranceand M&A –under the overall topic of creating and pursuing opportunities to keep VIG successful in the future. He also holds various supervisory and / or advisory board positions within and outside of VIG.

Prior to his current position, he served as head of Strategy for 6 years, Managing Director of the group’s IT-provider for approximately 2 years and, earlier, co-headed VIG Finance and Accounting. During his earlier career, Klaus Mühleder worked for numerous renowned companies such as Raiffeisen, McKinsey & Company, Johnson & Johnson, and –while already with VIG –Wiener Städtische and Bulstrad/BulstradLife Vienna Insurance Group where he was CFO and Deputy Chairman of the Management Board.
Klaus Mühleder studied commercial sciences at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
