Matthew is a Partner at MidEuropa, a mid-market private equity investment firm with roots in Central Europe. MidEuropa has raised and committed over $6Bn since inception.
In Poland, MidEuropa has supported such iconic local champions as Allegro, Żabka, LUXMED and Diagnostyka.
Matthew joined MidEuropa in 2002 and founded and leads the firm’s highly successful Healthcare Sector practice through which MidEuropa has committed over $1bn in equity across multiple platforms. He is a member of the Investment and Management Committees of the firm.
Matthew serves on the boards of FAMAR, a pan-European pharma CDMO, Regina Maria Group, a leading integrated private healthcare services network in Romania and Serbia and until recently, Diagnostyka, Poland’s largest laboratory diagnostics provider which listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange earlier this year.
Matthew has served on the boards of a dozen MidEuropa portfolio companies operating in healthcare, testing and inspection, media and e-commerce, a number of which have been exited to blue-chip strategic investors.
Prior to joining MidEuropa, Matthew worked in investment banking with Merrill Lynch and JPMorgan, in London and New York and for TLC Capital Partners, the investment firm of Reginald F. Lewis.
Matthew holds an M.B.A. from INSEAD in Fontainebleau and a A.B. in Economics from UChicago.
