Ugras Ulku serves as Head of EM Europe Research at the Institute of International Finance (IIF) where he has been working since 2008. In his current role at the IIF, Mr. Ulku provides macroeconomic expertise to IIF member commercial banks, multinational corporations and public sector organizations, and also oversees the IIF’s CEEMEA research team’s preparation of macro outlook reports and forecasts for the CEEMEA region. Formerly, he worked as a research economist at Cambridge University Judge Business School (2007-2008) and the Turkish Treasury (2002-2007), and was an economist at Fiat Auto Turkey (Tofas) in 2001. Mr. Ulku received his BSc and MSc in Economics and Finance from Middle East Technical University (Ankara, Turkey) and The University of York (York, the United Kingdom), respectively, and has authored many articles on the CEEMEA region.
